We, at Before & After, are committed to the idea that your treasured old photographs represent an important aspect of your life.  As these photographic treasures age and wear, you are faced with the prospect of losing these "frozen moments of time."

We can help.  As experts in the use of digital photographic techniques, we can bring these treasures back to life.  You may have the only photograph of a great-grandfather or great-great grandmother, but time has not been kind and without intervention, those treasures could be lost forever.

Our Process

The first thing you must understand, is that we do not, in any way, work on your treasured original, whether it is an old print, negative, or slide.  

Once we receive your photograph, we evaluate it and devise a restoration plan.

The photograph is then placed on our high-end scanner and, through the use of Adobe Photoshop®, scanned into our computer and saved as a digital file.

From this point on, we never touch your original again, except to return it to you.

Once your photograph is in our computer as a digital file, we can then begin the work of restoring it.  We remove dust marks, scratches, tears, and other obvious blemishes from the digital photograph.  We can correct color balance, do hand coloring, or turn color photos into black and white.  Much can be done at this point to give you the results you are looking for.

When the restoration process has been completed on your photograph, we save a version of it and place it on our web site for your review.  No one else will have the internet address to your photograph, so it is safe from other's eyes.

At this point, you can request additional changes or advise us to go ahead and make the print, which we will do and ship it out to you by insured mail.
